Pulwama Encounter : Two militants killed, Search on | KNO

Pulwama, May 17 (KNO) : Two militants have been killed in an encounter that started at around 1:30 am at Bunpora Panzgam area of Pulwama district An official told KNO that a joint team of forces including army’s 55 RR and SOG Pulwama cordoned off Panzgam area after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area. As the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon government forces triggering an encounter. A senior Police official confirmed to KNO that two militants have been killed in exchange of fire between militants and government forces. One militant was killed in initial exchange of fire however second one was trapped in house which was blasted after which his dead body was recovered, he said He added dead bodies have been retrieved whose identification is being ascertained. Meanwhile internet services have also been snapped in PD Awantipora as a precautionary measure.(KNO)
